Women’s Self-Defense Seminar- Fundraiser for MMA Fight Camp & Domestic Violence Prevention
SUPPORT BRYANNA “PINK RANGER” FISSORI AND HAWAII WOMEN’S SHELTER!
With all the misconceptions about Mixed Martial Arts, this fundraiser for MMA Fight Camp expenses and Hawaii Domestic Violence Prevention/Women’s Shelters promotes the concept that fighting is only acceptable as sanctioned sport with regulations and rules and not under any other circumstance!
In the mist of a very busy and exciting fight season my camp and I are looking to keep the momentum going. Currently holding a record of 6-0 and two belt titles, we have been very blessed in our adventures thus far. In order to continue this crazy journey to the top we are looking to obtain enough funding to support our expenses, which accumulate very quickly especially when we travel.
In order to do this, I will be hosting a Women’s Self-Defense & Fight Foundations Seminar. A portion of the donations from the seminar will be given to the Hawaii Women Shelter and Domestic Violence Prevention. That means you are giving to TWO awesome causes when you donate!
For those of you who cannot make it to Honolulu for the event you can still give online via this link and purchase Walk Out T-Shirts as well. For men who wish to donate you can also use this link, and . . . there are also still openings for men who are brave enough to participate in the defensive portion of Session 3.
The awesome walk-out T-Shirts are free with a $60 donation or can be purchased for $20 each and shipped anywhere for an additional $3! Please place your shirt order by Tuesday, July 23 if possible. (Design photos are on the way, but rest assured it is epic!)
WOMEN’S SELF-DEFENSE & FIGHT FOUNDATIONS SEMINAR
HOST: Bryanna “Pink Ranger” Fissori
WHERE: 16 Merchant Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813
WHEN: Saturday, August 3, 2013 4pm-6pm
DESCRIPTION: This 2 hour seminar is broken up into three awesome components for all levels. You can come for as much or as little as you like, but I recommend trying to make the whole event because it is going to be a blast!
SESSION 1: Self-Defense- Learn basic self-defense principals geared toward a woman’s natural intuition. Assist demos by two of my coaches who are HPD officers. Participants will also have the opportunity to practice the moves on some “moderately willing” test dummies.
SESSION 2: Fight Foundations- This session will go over the basics of competition fighting focusing primarily on the stand-up aspects, which include punches, kicks, knees and elbows. This is a great introduction to get to know the sport of MMA up close and personal in a safe environment.
SESSION 3: Anger Management- Women on offense/Men on defense. This is a concept we endearingly refer to as “Anger Management.” Put your new found skills to the test against the male fighters. You can arrange to bring your own “punching bag” if you would like, and this is also a great way to get your male friends involved with the campaign. This session is an awesome way to rid yourself of all the stress of the week. (Men: This is a great opportunity for participation if you would like to work on your defensive skills)
Your donation gets you into all three sessions. No specific equipment is needed for any of the sessions. Please wear workout clothes. Shoes are not allowed on the mat, and there will be sparring gloves and wraps available to borrow for the last session, but if you have your own please bring them.
Donations will be accepted at the door or through this link. If you are not donating ahead of time and would like a shirt please use the same link to send a message with your size. Again, please place your shirt order by Tuesday, July 23 if possible. Big Mahalo for your much needed support of my fight camp and the Hawaii Women’s Shelter and Domestic Violence Prevention Program!
