Edwin Figueroa vs. Erik Perez
Erik Perez as on an impressive four fight win streak until he ran into the abilities of Takeya Mizugaki. A lot of the best fighters in the UFC had a fight earlier in their career they lost that spurred them to greatness. That is what may have happened to Perez so Figueroa may have an even more dangerous fighter on his hands.
Ed Herman vs. Rafael Natal
Herman is one of the most durable veterans the UFC has in the middleweight division. He had his ups and downs earlier, but since his return in 2011 after a two year layoff, he has gone 4-1 with one no contest. The only loss comes to Ronaldo Souza who is one of the best in the division. Natal is int he same position with many wins but losses that set them back. This fight may be for the best gatekeeper in the division.

Anthony Pettis vs. Josh Thomson
TJ Grant is still hurt and will not be able to fight Anthony Pettis. Luckily, they had Josh Thomson waiting in the wings to take his spot. It is weird considering that Thomson is only 2-2 in his past four fights, but his huge knockout win over Nate Diaz was a big feather in his cap. If he could parlay that into a title win it may just be the quickest ascent to the title outside of Anderson Silva.
Chad Mendes vs. Nik Lentz
Mendes has knocked out four people on his way back to a title shot. That includes the impressive finish of Clay Guida. It is unknown what Lentz can bring to the table since he cannot outwrestle Mendes, and he does not have the same amount of power in his hands. That is what we will be finding out come this fall.
Ian McCall vs. Scott Jorgensen
Scott Jorgensen takes the drop to flyweight, and he has a chance to make an impact in his first fight. We have seen McCall up against the big guns of the division in Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson. If Jorgensen can beat him better than those two did he will be well on his way to a title shot.
Travis Browne vs. Josh Barnett
Travis Browne was rumored to face off against Stipe Miocic, but he is either hurt or the promotion decided to go a different way. Josh Barnett has jumped up to face off with Browne. With a win either of them will be on a three fight win streak and easily in the top four or three of the division. It is unknown if the winner will get a title shot, but it is not out of the realm of possibilities.
