“Rocky Mountain Submission Wrestling Summer Tournaments”

Format: Double Elimination
LOCATION: The Douglas County Events Center, 500 Fairgrounds Drive, Castle Rock, CO 80104
REGISTRATION: $20.00
TICKETS: $5/day - purchase tickets at weigh-ins or at the Douglas County Events Center on the day of the event.
Weigh ins: July 12, 2008. 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Douglas County Events Center.
Ages: 8 through 18 and Open divisions will be offered.
Awards: Medals for 1st – 4th Place. This event will be considered toward National Rankings.

Rocky Mountain Nationals adds high profile Submission Wrestling to its National schedule. This will be the first time that wrestling will be offered as part of the RMN series. RMN will be hosting Submission Wrestling in all the top venues located in Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Orlando, Fresno and Boise. RMN Events plans to host the first annual “U.S. Submission Wrestling Nationals” held at the Denver Stadium Arena on October 31, 2008. RMN Events plans to give away $14,000.00 to the top grapplers competing in this event held at the Mile High city of Denver.” said Ed Gutierrez, Tournament Director for RMN Events.
Leading up to the competition, Gold medalist and World class wrestlers, along with members of the 2008 Olympic Freestyle wrestling team will be present to sign autographs and take pictures. The week offers plenty of wrestling as the AAU Grand Nationals a twenty-five year old event comes to the Douglas County Events Center, July 10, 11, 12, 2008. AAU is expecting over 1,000 wrestlers to compete from all over the country including four teams coming from Canada. The AAU Grand Nationals offers, Greco, Freestyle and Folkstyle for ages 6 through 18 years old, an open division and a women’s division.
