UFC Fight Night 30
Ryan Jimmo vs. Jimi Manuwa
Two light-heavyweight up and comers will face off when Jimi Manuwa puts his unbeaten streak on the line against the always tough Ryan Jimmo. It will be a strikers delight having the knock out artist in Manuwa taking on the karate based Jimmo.
Paul Taylor vs. Anthony Njokuani
Taylor returns from a near three year layoff to face off Njokuani in a third attempt to start the fight. The two were supposed to face off in 2011 and 2012, but the fight has been delayed this long because of injuries to Taylor.
John Lineker vs. Phil Harris
John Lineker just picked up a win last weekend, and his original opponent was supposed to be Phil Harris. If they would have fought at UFC 163, they would have been in the home country of Lineker, but they will now be in the home country of Harris since this takes place in England.
Ross Pearson vs. Melvin Guillard
In the co-main event of the card, Melvin Guillard takes on another TUF veteran in Ross Pearson. This could end in knockout since both fighters like to finish their fights on the feet. This is another step back for the winner to the top of the division as both have suffered some tough losses as of late.
Jimy Hettes vs. Mike Wilkinson
Hettes was supposed to be the next contender in the featherweight division, but he ran into the always tough Marcus Brimage. Both of these fighters were undefeated up until their last bouts, but they will have a chance to start themselves off on a new streak when they face off later this year.
UFC Fight Night 29
Rony Jason vs. Jeremy Stephens
Stephens has a big opportunity to prove himself in this fight when he takes on Rony Jason. This is Stephens second fight at 145, and he is facing a TUF winner and someone on a three fight win streak. That is a lot of momentum he could steal with one of his memorable knockouts.
World Series of Fighting 5
Andrei Arlovski vs. Mike Kyle
Arlovski is filling in to face Mike Kyle after Anthony Johnson had to pull out due to injury. This will be Arlovksi’s chance to redeem himself after losing to Johnson back at WSOF 3 which broke his four fight win streak. Kyle returned from retirement to face off with Travis Wiuff who he beat by a 21 second knockout.
Charles Oliveira vs. Estevan Payan
Oliveira looks to redeem himself after his loss to Frankie Edgar. Payan lost his first fight in the UFC after the transfer from Strikeforce against the aforementioned Jeremy Stephens. Oliveira has the potential to be a great fighter, but he may have been thrown to the wolves way to quickly. Now, he will have a chance to build quickly starting with Payan.
